Sleepless In The Valley
It is during the hours that we sleep when we are able to rejuvenate our bodies and minds. This is the time we need to re-build and repair cells, tissues, restore chemical/hormonal balance and heal our body. Without proper sleep we are doomed to age quicker, live a life of exhaustion, fatigue with pain and sickness.

Both sleep and rest are subconscious states but when sleeping we are physically and emotionally active all night long. That's why we wake up exhausted with little energy to carry us thru our day. Over time our bodies become more fatigued which quickly leads to pain, depression and sickness.
Rest on the other hand allows us to enter into a quite, relaxed state. While resting the body can restore and heal. We wake up refreshed, full of energy with a positive mental attitude... [Read Further]

FOR AVON LIFE
AVON - Sally Larsen has been cutting children's hair for 18 years. She fell into her profession and it turns out that it is something she truly enjoys.
Over the years she has also learned how to help autistic children and their parents enjoy the experience.
The Farmington native did not know which profession to pursue when she was in college, but she followed the advice of her sister and sister-in-law who suggested that she try hairdressing. Ms. Larsen eventually cut the hair of all the school's students. More »

AVON - For Melissa Sabo,
owning a consignment shop
means much more than being a
retailer. It's also about promoting
an environmentally-friendly way
of life.
"Instead of throwing things
away, I believe we should reuse as
much as we can," said Sabo, co-owner
of Consignment Boutique
in Old Avon Village.
On the shop's Web site, Sabo
posts a statistic stating that "over
65 percent of our waste consists
of clothing and household items.
More than one million tons are
dumped into landfills each year
with staggering disposal costs." More »

AVON — For the past 10 years, the Nail Gallery has been pampering customers at its salon in Old Avon Village. Now the owners are thanking their clientele by offering a special perk — a $5 off pedicure coupon.
“We’re sending out e-mails to our customers with the coupon,” said owner Michelle Bae. “We have lots of regular customers.”
It’s because of customers that they’re celebrating their 10th anniversary.
“Without your support, this wouldn’t have been possible,” the e-mail says. “To show our appreciation, we would like to offer you this coupon for your next visit. More »
